Ilana Daniel

Ilana Daniel joined DCTV, Channel 23 in March 2011 as an intern, and now serves as reporter and writer for various shows on DCTV Channel 23 including Inside DeKalb, Welcome Home DeKalb and other special programming including The Great Gatsby Affair (Dec. 2014). She also produces various public service announcements for the station, and is now the producer of DCTV Channel 23’s Let’s Talk DeKalb talk show. 

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Ilana attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she wrote for her college newspaper, The Lion’s Roar, and interned at WGNO ABC26 in New Orleans. Her studies were interrupted briefly due to Hurricane Katrina, but that did not stop her from obtaining her bachelor of arts degree in mass communications and journalism. After moving to Atlanta, she continued her studies at Connecticut School of Broadcasting where she received her certificate of completion and an award for most likely to anchor a perfect morning news show. 

She currently resides in Henry County with her husband, Gabriel Daniel, and their two dogs, Kiba and Saya.
