Efforts to improve water service capacity throughout DeKalb County continue on Wednesday, July 5, with the launch of the Alameda Trail Water Main Replacement Project.

Crews will install 13,100 linear feet of 8- and 12-inch-diameter ductile iron pipe, affecting Alameda Trail, Verna Drive, Verna Court, Tipany Court, Bianca Court, Aurie Drive, Aurie Court, Tarian Drive and Clifton Springs Way.

This project is expected to last nine months (July 2023 to April 2024), barring any weather delays.

Normal construction hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. An increase in construction-related noise and traffic during work hours should be expected.
