Q:  How long does it take to get a copy of an accident report after the accident has occurred?
A:  A report is typically available five (5) business days (not including weekends or holidays) after an accident
     has occurred.

Q: How do I file an Open Records request?
A: The process for submitting an Open Records request has changed. DeKalb County is beginning its transition to GovQa, which is an open records management system. Please create an account with GovQa to submit your open records request at OPEN RECORDS CENTER (govqa.us)

Q:  How can I expunge my criminal record?

Q: How can I ride along with a DeKalb County Police Officer?
A: You can fill out this form and follow the instructions to participate in a ride along. 

Q:  Where do I go to adopt a pet?
A:   Animal Services frequently holds pet adoptions throughout the county. You can check the 
      Animal Services website for details or call (404) 294-2996.

Q:  My neighbor has old cars and debris all over their property, who should I call?
A:  Please contact Code Compliance’s Complaint Line at (404) 687-3700.

Q:  How do I find out when my traffic court hearing is scheduled?

Q:  I need a background report done for my employer. Where do I go to get one and how much does it cost?

Q:  I’m interested in becoming a police officer, where do I apply?

Q:  How do I request a street closing for a parade?
