Burke Brennan
Burke Brennan is the Chief Communications Officer for DeKalb County. As Chief Communications Officer, Burke oversees the county's Communications Office and DeKalb County Television (DCTV).
Burke joined DeKalb County in 2003 as a public information officer. He also served as Communications Director under former CEO Vernon Jones. Most recently, Burke served as a senior project manager in the Office of Economic Development and served as Interim Chief Communications Officer from July 2010 to December 2010. Burke's extensive background in news media includes working as a news reporter/anchor at WGST-AM and the Georgia News Network.
Also active in the business community, Burke was recently named president of the Tucker Business Association. His term begins in January 2011.
Departmental Summary - Communications Office
Charged with the day-to-day communications of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer. Additionally managing internal and external communications and media relations for DeKalb County, and overseeing DeKalb County Television (DCTV), a 24-hour government access station available to all Comcast Cable subscribers in DeKalb County on channel 23.
