Probate Court

The Probate Court has jurisdiction over the probate of wills, administration of estates, appointment of guardians and conservators for incapacitated adults as well as children, and mental health commitments. The Probate Court also issues marriage licenses and weapons carry licenses and performs a number of other administrative duties. Standard forms and probate resources are available at gaprobate.gov. 

Judge Jeryl Debra Rosh joined the Probate Court legal staff in 1985. She became the associate judge in 1992. She was appointed probate judge in 2003 and was elected to the position in 2004.

 

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Applications for marriage licenses and weapons carry licenses are accepted until 4:00 p.m.
