Jermaine Walker is a Senior Assistant County Attorney in the DeKalb County Law Department's Infrastructure and Development group, where he advises various departments throughout the County on employment matters and defends the County in employment related lawsuits. He also represents the DeKalb Peachtree Airport, handles residential and commercial tax appeal cases and defends the County in tort cases.
Before joining the DeKalb County Law Department Mr. Walker worked as Counsel to the General Counsel in the National Labor Relations Board Jacksonville Resident Office and as an associate attorney with Ford & Harrison, LLP. Mr. Walker holds a J.D. from Albany Law School where he served as Associate Editor of Albany Law Review. Prior to law school he earned a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in English from Emory University. He is the published author of the article “Dealing Effectively with Foreclosed Properties” for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia, Metro City & County Attorneys’ Seminar. Mr. Walker is an active member of the Georgia bar and admitted to practice law in the federal, state and appellate courts of Georgia.
