Fatherhood Initiative Program

“Connecting Fathers with the Workplace”

DeKalb Workforce Development (DWD), in collaboration with the DeKalb County Fatherhood Initiative Network, seek to support, motivate and assist non-custodial parents designated by the courts to pay child support. DWD offers information, resources and skills to assist them in securing and maintaining employment. 

Through this program, DWD provides participants with job search services including: Resume and cover letter writing, interview tips, networking & branding, and employment opportunities.  

The Fatherhood Initiative Program makes every effort to assist unemployed, non-custodial parents with securing sustainable employment. The DeKalb County Fatherhood Initiative Network selects participants for the program.
