The Beautification Unit is an active community and environmental steward tasked with protecting, enhancing, and maintaining the county’s streets, rights of way, roadways, intersections, and county-owned properties.
Through continuous beautification initiatives, roadside enhancement activities, public education and resident engagement, this Unit empowers community partners-at-large to advance the county’s strategic priority of developing and sustaining aesthetically vibrant neighborhoods in DeKalb County

Key initiatives include the Adopt-a-Mile Program, Illegal Dumping Remediation, Litter Abatement, Roadside Enhancements, Rain Barrel Workshops, and Community Cleanup/Beautification Projects.
