DEKALB BEAUTIFICATION UNIT OVERVIEW



The Beautification Unit is an active community and environmental steward tasked with protecting, enhancing, and maintaining the county’s streets, rights of way, roadways, intersections, and county-owned properties. 

Through continuous beautification initiatives, roadside enhancement activities, public education and resident engagement, this Unit empowers community partners-at-large to advance the county’s strategic priority of developing and sustaining aesthetically vibrant neighborhoods in DeKalb County

To promote clean, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing DeKalb communities through environmental stewardship, community partnerships, and resident education, empowerment and engagement.

PROGRAMS AND SERVICES



The Beautification Unit offers a range of programs designed to engage, educate, and empower individuals or groups in improving DeKalb communities. Key initiatives include the Adopt-a-Mile Program, Illegal Dumping Remediation, Litter Abatement, Roadside Enhancements, Rain Barrel Workshops, and Community Cleanup/Beautification Projects. These programs deliver immediate visual improvements and contribute to lasting quality of life benefits across DeKalb!
