DeKalb County Adopt-A-Mile Program  | 
Purpose:
To offer individuals, groups, and organizations a chance to reduce litter and beautify public areas across DeKalb County.
ADOPTION OPTIONS:
Adopt-A-Road: Clean at least 1 mile of road or an entire subdivision 4 times/year.
Adopt-A-Spot: Clean less than 1 mile (often intersections/roundabouts) 4 times/year.
Adopt-A-MARTA Stop: Clean bus stops not serviced by MARTA 4 times/year and maintain site appearance.
ELIGIBLE ADOPTION AREAS:
- Roadsides
 - Medians & traffic islands
 - County-owned properties
 - MARTA bus stops
 
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: 
- Cleanups must occur four times per year
 - Submit cleanup report within 2 business days after each event
 - Annual audits ensure compliance
 - Membership may be canceled for noncompliance
 - Participants can voluntarily withdraw with 30 days' written notice
 - Reinstatement requires a new application and review
 
Note: Volunteers representing organizations must provide proof of affiliation.
VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow safety protocols
 - Conduct cleanups quarterly

How to Request Supplies  | 
- Please request supplies at least one week in advance.
 
- Supply Pick-up Available: Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m.– 1 p.m.

CLEANUP SUPPLY RETURN REQUIREMENTS:
- Supplies must be returned within one week of initial request (except for program members)
 Note: The "Keeping DeKalb Beautiful' Team will handle Orange Bag Pickup and Disposal.
