Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is a federal program administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that provides annual funding to eligible cities and counties.
 

DeKalb County receives CDBG funds to:

  • Support decent, affordable housing
  • Create a safe and suitable living environment
  • Expand economic opportunities for low - and moderate-income residents

Emergency Solutions Grant

The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) helps individuals and families facing homelessness by providing funding for outreach, emergency shelter, and rapid rehousing. The program also supports services that help participants stabilize in permanent housing, preventing future homelessness and promoting long-term stability.

How to Apply

  2. Gather required documents (ID, residency, income verification, property documents if applicable)
  3. Complete online or paper application
  4. Submit supporting documentation
  5. Schedule assessment or inspection if needed
  6. Await decision
