DeKalb County Warming Centers to Open on Monday, December 8. and Tuesday, December 9

Due to forecasted freezing temperatures and hazardous overnight wind chills, DeKalb County will open the following warming centers for residents beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, December 8^th – December 9^th, 2025:

• Frontline Response International, 2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta
• St. Vincent de Paul, 2050-C Chamblee Tucker Rd, Chamblee
• Mason Mill Recreation Center, 1340 McConnell Dr, Decatur
• Exchange Park Intergenerational Center, 2771 Columbia Dr, Decatur

All transportation routes originate from Frontline Response Headquarters (2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta) and are scheduled for initial pickups to be completed by 7:30 p.m. Following the initial routes, final sweeps will continue from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., ending promptly at 10 p.m.

During warming center activation, transportation pickups will be available to Frontline International according to the following schedule:

Route 2 - Central / Decatur / Emory

Route 4 – South Central / Memorial Dr / Wesley Chapel

Frontline Response International is contracted by DeKalb County to serve individuals in need during extreme weather conditions. Hot dinners and breakfasts will be served nightly, along with bed or cots and case-management services centralized at Frontline’s headquarters. Transportation services from all warming centers to Frontline are available for those who wish to access these services.

Individuals may arrive directly at Frontline Response Headquarters (2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta GA 30316) starting at 12 noon on activation days for transportation assistance, case management, or placement into a warming center.
