Police Athletic League Plus (PAL Plus)

 
  DEKALB COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE PLUS

The mission of the DeKalb County Police Department Police Athletic League Plus Unit (PAL Plus) is to educate, equip and empower DeKalb County children as they transition through adolescence. We use sports, academics, and mentorship programs to foster police-youth engagement and reduce juvenile crime by providing a safe environment for our youth.

Survival Swim Program

On March 17, 2022, DKPD PAL Plus was honored with the US Department of Justice Distinguished Service in Community Policing Award by US Attorney Merrick Garland. 

On July 7, 2021, DKPD PAL Plus was recognized in the Community Outreach spotlight of the FBI's Law Enforcement Bulletin for the Virtual Gaming with a Cop program. 

  PAL PLUS OVERVIEW AND PROGRAMS

We conduct activities as a chapter of the National Police Athletic/Activities Leagues, Inc. The traditional activities for such chapters consist of sports and mentoring. However, as indicated by the “Plus” in the title, additional activities are conducted including arts and culture, education, and charity.
