DEKALB COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE PLUS
The mission of the DeKalb County Police Department Police Athletic League Plus Unit (PAL Plus) is to educate, equip and empower DeKalb County children as they transition through adolescence. We use sports, academics, and mentorship programs to foster police-youth engagement and reduce juvenile crime by providing a safe environment for our youth. On March 17, 2022, DKPD PAL Plus was honored with the US Department of Justice Distinguished Service in Community Policing Award by US Attorney Merrick Garland. On July 7, 2021, DKPD PAL Plus was recognized in the Community Outreach spotlight of the FBI's Law Enforcement Bulletin for the Virtual Gaming with a Cop program.
