Staff Attorneys (Billy Scott)

Billy Scott is an Assistant County Attorney in the Law Department’s Administrative Group, where he represents the county in civil litigation and drafts advisory opinions and county ordinances.

Prior to joining the law department, Mr. Scott maintained a general practice at a boutique law firm in Atlanta.  He earned a B.A. in Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he was awarded the Joel B. Rosenthal Commercial Law Award.  Mr. Scott is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.  He is also a member of the Atlanta Bar Association.
