John Jones is a Senior Assistant County Attorney in the Law Department’s Development Group. Mr. Jones has been with the Law Department since 2006, where his practice areas of concentration are zoning and related land use matters. He routinely provides legal opinions to county representatives and department heads and represents the county in commercial and residential tax appeals and other litigation.
Mr. Jones earned his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1998 and a B.A. in sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994. Prior to joining the Law Department, he gained approximately eight years of litigation experience while employed with metro-Atlanta area law firms. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and participating in church activities.
