DECATUR, Ga. – The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) will begin the Briarcliff Road Main Replacement Project on Monday, Dec. 11. The project will replace nearly 5,000 feet of water main pipes and will result in road closures.

Starting that week, portions of Briarcliff Road between Timothy Drive, Mount Royal Drive N.E., Brockton Glen N.E., Beacon Hill Boulevard and Bruce Road N.E. will experience single-lane closures daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Single-lane closures will occur throughout the two-month water main replacement project.

Motorists and MARTA passengers that use Briarcliff Road between Timothy Drive and Bruce Road N.E., are urged to plan for extra commuting time. Lane closure signs will be in the area alerting motorists to the construction work and local traffic restrictions.
