The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners recently approved PDK’s master plan that calls for $77.9 million in enhancements and will guide the airport’s operations for the next 17 years.

PDK’s operations include:

  • Overseeing four aviation service companies, seven flight schools and two helicopter operations.
  • Maintaining leases for 160 t-hangars.
  • Managing 400+ airport tenants.

“As the Interim Airport Director, I intend to keep PDK the leader of general aviation in the State of Georgia, as well as one of the most prominent executive airports in the country,” said Hunter Hines. “ PDK is paving the way for new development and economic growth, not only for the airport, but all of  DeKalb County."

Hines, a 13-year aviation management professional, has served as Deputy Airport Director since 2019.

Korey Barnes has been appointed Deputy Airport Director. He has served as PDK’s Environmental & Noise Abatement Analyst since 2019.
