DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews have isolated a water main break along Chamblee-Dunwoody Road.

Crews are in the process of assessing the damage in order to make repairs.

Excavation near a 70-foot section of eight-inch diameter water pipe at a private construction site exposed the pipe to heavy rains, which washed away dirt, suspending the pipe in the air.

Fewer than five customers have been affected by the break.

Customers in the area may experience some service interruptions, including low water pressure and temporary water outages, while repairs are being made.

If customers experience brown water, they should run their faucets until the water is clear.

Updates will be communicated as available.
