Crews Working to Locate Water Main Break in Tucker

DECATUR, Ga.—DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews are working to locate a water main break along Lavista Road near Henderson Road in Tucker.

Crews have spent the morning trying to determine which of two nearby water mains, a 16-inch and a 10-inch, has been compromised. After the 10-inch main was isolated, crews narrowed their search for the break to the 16-inch main.

Once the break in the 16-inch main has been located, repairs can begin. Currently, there is no estimated time for repairs to be completed.

The water main break was reported at 6:19 a.m.

There are limited water outages and customers with low water pressure in the area.

Drivers are urged to use caution as there are lane closures in the area.
