DeKalb to Address ‘Ground Zero’ Sewer Spill Site

DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County will demolish a home to begin construction and repairs of sewer pipes located near Melanie Court. Since 2014, the manhole at Melanie Court has experienced 22 repeat spills, the most spills recorded at one site in DeKalb County. The Melanie Court Sewer Improvement project is part of the county’s $1.2 billion initiative to rebuild the county’s aging infrastructure.
