DeKalb Cooperative Extension Announces ‘Planting and Care of Small Trees’ Class

DeKalb County Cooperative Extension and City of Stonecrest will host a "Planting and Care of Small Tress” class on Feb. 20, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the Browns Mill Recreation Center, located at 5101 Browns Mill Rd., Stonecrest, GA 30338.

                                                            

Attendees will cover five major areas: companion planting, mycelium running, how trees communicate, good vs. bad pests, and pruning. The speaker is Joelette Bembry, a DeKalb County agricultural and natural resources agent from the University of Georgia. The class is free and a free tree will be given.
