DeKalb Cooperative Extension Announces Space for Pollinators Classes

DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Cooperative Extension will host a “Space for Pollinators” series in different areas around the county. The first class will be held on July 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the Briarwood Park Community Center Dance Room at 2235 Briarwood Way NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. The deadline to register is July 8.

A second class will be held on Aug. 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Brook Run Park greenhouse complex, located at 4770 N. Peachtree Rd., Dunwoody, GA 30338. The deadline to register is July 26.

The final class of the series will be held on Aug. 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the UGA Extension Auditorium, located at 4380 Memorial Dr., Ste. 200, Decatur, GA 30032.  The deadline to register is Aug. 9.  

Attendees will learn how to make their garden a haven for native pollinators and make their own native bee hotel.

The class registration is $25.
