DECATUR, Ga.—The DeKalb County Accountability Court Foundation will hold its inaugural Dress for Success Day on Wednesday, May 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. at D&K Suit City, 4570 Memorial Drive, Decatur, GA 30032.

Ten Accountability Court participants will receive suits from D&K Suit City and participate in a mini-fashion show during the event, which organizers hope will raise awareness for the needs of the program.

The Dress for Success event also will feature KISS 104.1 radio personality Art Terrell.

The DeKalb County Accountability Court Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 2006 to support the DeKalb County Accountability Courts (DCAC).

The DCAC helps nonviolent offenders address the risk factors that lead to frequent and persistent incarceration, with specific programming for veterans (Veterans Treatment Court), individuals suffering from addiction (Drug Court) and the mentally-ill (Felony Mental Health Court). The programs are designed to assist participants by restoring core values, instilling accountability and developing a network of community resources after program completion.

The program is looking for corporate and community partners to provide dental and medical care, clothing assistance, housing support and employment. These resources are necessary to support the program’s 75 participants as they reintegrate back into mainstream society.

D&K Suit City assists DeKalb County Accountability Court participants with in-kind donations, deep discounts, assistance with fittings and fashion consulting.
