DeKalb County Extension announces the ninth season of Fresh on DeK, DeKalb County’s Mobile Farmers Market, which travels throughout the county offering nutrition education, live onsite food demonstrations and fresh fruits and vegetables for sale. Session A will be from May 15 – July 7, and Session B will be from July 17 – September 8.

Fresh on DeK brings fresh fruits and vegetables to DeKalb County.

Fresh on DeK's purpose is to improve the health of the community, the viability of local produce and to preserve the environment for future generations by providing access to fresh produce and nutritional education programming throughout DeKalb County.

In addition to low-cost fresh produce, Fresh on DeK offers weekly nutrition education classes on Zoom and Facebook Live on the Fresh on DeK Facebook page. During this class, participants will receive the Fresh on DeK “word of the week” promo code, which can be redeemed at any Fresh on DeK location for $10 off your purchase. Limit one use per week, per household. Promo code will change each Monday and is only valid for the week following the class. The classes are free, but registration is required for participants on Zoom.

Fresh on DeK is made possible with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, DeKalb County Government, DeKalb County Board of Health and UGA Extension.

In addition to nutrition education, DeKalb County Extension’s programming focuses on horticulture, the environment, communities, youth and families.
