“Special elections operate on a condensed timeline, which makes planning ahead especially important,” said Keisha L. Smith, Executive Director of DeKalb VRE.

“We encourage voters to request absentee ballots as soon as possible or take advantage of early voting opportunities to ensure their participation in this election.”

DeKalb VRE strongly encourages voters who plan to vote by mail to request their absentee ballots now until Feb. 27. Absentee ballot applications may be submitted online, by mail, by fax, or in person, in accordance with Georgia law. Voters are reminded that ballots must be received by the appropriate deadline to be counted.

Detailed absentee voting information, including application instructions and deadlines, is available at www.dekalbvotes.com.
