DeKalb Crews Complete Water Main Repairs in Decatur

DECATUR, Ga.—DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews have completed repairs to a 16-inch water main damaged by a CSX contractor Friday morning, Aug. 3.

Repairs to the pipe, located on the 700 block of Coventry Road in Decatur, were completed at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.                                                                           

Water flow and pressure is being restored this evening to all affected residential, commercial and medical customers. There were limited water outages during the incident.

Site restoration and cleanup efforts are underway.

A water restoration and cleanup contractor continues to assist homeowners who may have been impacted.
