DeKalb Crews Continue to Work on Repairing Broken Main at 33 Covington Rd., Avondale Estates

Substantial progress has been made

DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crew members have made substantial progress on both the 16-inch and 36-inch water mains at 33 Covington Rd., Avondale Estates.  

Impacted residents can still go to Avondale Elementary School located at 88 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates, GA 30002 to receive bottled water.

Customers in the surrounding area may continue to experience lower than normal water pressure and potential service interruptions while repairs are underway. 

Traffic controls remain in place to ensure the safety of the public and work crews. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and expect traffic delays near the work zone.
