A crew continues to work to remove a large tree at the site of a water main break on McLendon Drive.

Once the tree is removed, DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management crews will shore up the approximately 10-foot-deep hole to make it safe for workers to repair the pipe.

Once the hole is made safe, workers will be able to estimate the time needed to make the repair.

The materials needed to make the repairs are onsite.

DeKalb County Watershed has placed a pallet of bottled water near the intersection of McLendon Drive and North Avenue for customers impacted by the water main break.

Residents and businesses may experience periods of low to no water pressure during the repair and motorists should expect delays.

For more information, contact the DeKalb County Watershed Department at 770-270-6243.

DeKalb County will provide updates throughout the repair.
