DeKalb Offers Educational Series to Support Nonprofit Organizations

The DeKalb County Human Services Department, Office of Youth Services in partnership with Georgia Piedmont Technical College announces a two-part educational series for local nonprofit organizations serving youth in DeKalb County.

All nonprofits associated with the DeKalb Alliance on Youth or that provide services to youth in DeKalb County are invited to join this virtual educational opportunity.

The first workshop, “Access to Capital/Small Business/Non-Profit Assistance Under the CARES Act,” will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 1 p.m.  The second workshop, “Managing Customer Connection Through Other Channels - Internet and Social Media,” will be held on Thursday, June 11, at 1 p.m. The workshops will take place as webinars and Continuing Educational Credits are available.

Training is free and registration is required. To be eligible, nonprofit organizations must provide services to youth in DeKalb County.

The DeKalb Alliance on Youth is a dedicated committee of members of the DeKalb County community represented by schools, clergy, nonprofits, businesses, civic organizations and governmental entities, who have demonstrated services or support toward the advancement of youth. The Alliance provides opportunities to offer ideas and technical support to develop programming and signature initiatives that address the needs of youth in DeKalb County. 

The DeKalb Alliance on Youth is coordinated by the Office of Youth Services within the DeKalb County Human Services Department.
