DeKalb Park Citizen Advisory Board Member selected as 2019 Howard and Gail Paster Little League Urban Initiative Volunteer of the Year

DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs announces Carolyn Taggart has been selected as the 2019 Howard and Gail Paster Little League Urban Initiative Volunteer of the Year Award.

Since 2005, the Howard and Gail Paster Little League Urban Initiative Volunteer of the Year Award has recognized an adult volunteer involved with a Little League program participating in the Urban Initiative.

Mrs. Taggart has played a vital role in volunteering for the Belvedere Little League Baseball Team located in Decatur, Georgia. As a dedicated volunteer, she has served as the league president, hosted clean- up projects, received grants to improve the park and hosted the first Georgia Urban Initiative Tournament in 2010.

Mrs. Taggart has contributed to the betterment of not only the DeKalb Parks Citizen’s Advisory Board but to our youth, parks and the community as a whole.
