DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs is continuing to make parks and recreational facilities safe for DeKalb County neighborhoods and communities, with the introduction of four new park rangers. The DeKalb County Board of Commissioners and CEO Michael Thurmond endorsed this initiative in 2018.

The rangers will ensure the safety of our parks, recreational facilities, trails and participate in community outreach and public awareness. Park rangers will be on duty seven days a week and will be under the supervision of DeKalb Park Police Coordinator, Officer Jean-Jacques Lambotte.
