DeKalb County Warming Centers to Open on 

Sunday, December 14 through Tuesday, December 16

DECATUR, Ga. – Due to forecasted freezing temperatures and hazardous wind chills, DeKalb County will activate warming centers beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 14, continuing through Tuesday, December 16, 2025:

The following locations will be open on Sunday for the 24-hour activation:

• Frontline Response International, 2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta
• St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP), 2050-C Chamblee Tucker Rd, Chamblee
• Exchange Park Intergenerational Center, 2771 Columbia Dr, Decatur

Closed Location:
• Mason Mill Recreation Center will not open during this activation.

Transportation Services – Revised Early Morning Schedule for Sunday Only

All routes originate from Frontline Response Headquarters, 2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta.

To support the early morning activation time, revised transportation pickups will be conducted only on Sunday, December 14. Initial pickups are scheduled for 5:00 a.m. These times are reversed from the standard evening schedule to accommodate the 6:00 a.m. warming center opening.

This revised schedule applies only to Sunday morning. All transportation services on Monday night will follow the regular evening pickup schedule.

During warming center activation, transportation pickups will be available to Frontline International according to the following schedule:

Frontline Response International is contracted by DeKalb County to serve individuals in need during extreme weather conditions. Frontline Response International will provide 24-hour operations during the Sunday activation, including hot meals, cots, transportation, and case management services. Individuals may arrive directly at Frontline HQ beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday for assistance with warming center placement and additional services.
