Decatur, Ga. – The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) will host a community update about the Package III Gravity Sewer System Rehabilitation, Replacement and Construction Project on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m. at DWM offices, 4572 Memorial Drive, Decatur, Georgia.
The project will improve wastewater capacity throughout DeKalb County and will include the installation of new, larger wastewater pipe. Scheduled to start in spring 2019, the project is part of DeKalb County's $1.345 billion capital improvement program and designed to reduce sanitary sewer system overflows, increase service capacity and is intended to address needs identified through assessment work related to the Consent Decree.
