Donations for Foster Children to be Collected during DeKalb CEO’s State of the County Breakfast

DECATUR, Ga. – Foster children in the care of the DeKalb County Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) will benefit from donations collected during a community breakfast sponsored by DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond.

A suggested minimum donation of $20 is requested for the community breakfast on Saturday, April 27, at 9 a.m., in the Genesis Room at Greenforest Community Baptist Church, 3188 Rainbow Dr., Decatur, GA 30034.

Checks can be made out to DeKalb DFCS.

Currently in DeKalb County, there are 904 children under the age of 18 in the foster care system.

CEO Thurmond will give his outlook for 2019 during the breakfast, which is open to the public.
