DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs and District 1 Commissioner Nancy Jester will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new tennis courts at Henderson Park on Wednesday, July 12, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held at 2803 Henderson Road, Tucker, GA 30084.
A total of $155,800 was allocated from DeKalb County 2006 Park Bond funds to complete the tennis court renovations. The previous tennis courts were completely demolished and four new courts were placed in the same locations.
The public is invited to join park staff and county officials at the ceremony. Attendees will also learn more about Friends of Henderson Park, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
