DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs and District 3 Commissioner Larry Johnson will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate new improvements at Longdale Park on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held at 1830 Longdale Drive, Atlanta, GA 30032.
A total of $200,000 was allocated from the DeKalb County 2001 Park Bond funds to enhance the park play areas including replacing the playground, pavilion, parking lot, and trails. The public is invited to join park staff and county officials at the ceremony. Attendees will also learn more about the about Friends of Longdale Park, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
