(MEDIA ALERT) DeKalb to Hold Ribbon-cutting for Fire Rescue Academy

Who:               DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond, Commissioner Lorraine Cochran-Johnson, Board of Commissioners, Public  Safety Director Joseph “Jack” Lumpkin, Fire Chief Darnell Fullum and DeKalb SPLOST Program Manager Chris Kingsbury.

What:              County officials are hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony for DeKalb’s Fire Rescue Academy.

This $1.9 million project includes new modular buildings at the DeKalb County Fire Rescue training academy funded by the DeKalb Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) funds.  

 

DeKalb County will receive an estimated $388 million in SPLOST revenue over a six-year period to improve county roads, infrastructure, libraries, parks, and public safety. For more information about DeKalb County SPLOST, visit www.dekalbsplost.com.
