Portion of Glendale Drive Closed Due to Water Main Break

DECATUR, Ga.–A block of Glendale Drive, between Crestmoore Drive and McAfee Road in unincorporated Decatur, is closed due to a 36-inch water transmission main break.

Because customers are served by an 8-inch distribution line in the area, there is no interruption in water service.

Crews have isolated the break and will work to stabilize the road. Repairs to the transmission line will begin next week once the damage is assessed and the necessary parts are secured.

Road closure signs will be posted advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions.
