Postponed DeKalb, MARTA to Announce Transit Improvements

DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond and Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) General Manager/CEO Jeffrey Parker will announce countywide transit improvements.

When: Due to weather, the event scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 14, has been postponed. A new date will be announced this week.

Where: Bus Stop No. 211697 (Walmart Drive and Fairington Road)

The bus stop is located on Walmart Drive, near the intersection of Fairington Road. The news conference will be held adjacent to Lowe’s Home Improvement located at 5375 Fairington Rd., Lithonia, GA 30038. The bus stop serves Route 117, Rockbridge Road and Panola Road between Fairington Parkway and the Avondale MARTA Station.
