River Road Bridge Reopens Ahead of Schedule

DECATUR, Ga. – Construction and rehabilitation of the River Road Bridge over Conley Creek is complete. The bridge reopened to the public on Monday, Jan. 23, more than a week ahead of schedule. The bridge was severely damaged during a traffic accident earlier this year.

An inspection by Georgia Department of Transportation determined that the rehabilitation was necessary for the safety of motorists. DeKalb County hired an engineering firm to design and repair the bridge.
