DECATUR, GA. – Judge Gregory A. Adams has signed an order approving a petition by the Board of Registration and Elections to extend voting hours for 30 minutes at the polls located at Holy Cross Catholic Church (3773 Chamblee Tucker Road) and Livsey Elementary School (4137 Livsey Road).
Voting will close at 7:30 p.m. at these two polling places only. All other polling places will close at 7 p.m.
The petition was made as the result of a delay in voting on the direct recording electronic voting units. The issue was resolved by 7:30 a.m. in both locations. Although voters were offered provisional ballots, this extension was requested, in the abundance of caution, to ensure that all electors at the two locations have the full 12 hours of voting.
