Decatur, Ga. – WorkSource DeKalb announces its Mobile Career Center’s November schedule. The unit supports the county’s strategic priority to facilitate jobs and economic development by providing work-readiness services and putting DeKalb County citizens back to work.
The unit will be stationed throughout the county and provides residents with essential services including job search assistance, adult workshops, training, resume writing and interviewing tips. Businesses can also use the mobile unit for recruiting, pre-employment screenings, interviewing and training.
“The mobile career center has helped nearly 5,500 DeKalb residents in the job search process and helped local businesses find quality employees,” said DeKalb Interim CEO Lee May.
Additionally, the program provides short-term internship opportunities for low-income young adults, ages 16-24, who are not enrolled in school and seeking employment. Two staff members are housed in the mobile unit to assist in the application process.
