DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections Announces Runoff Election Results for Georgia Public Service Commission Race

DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections Members to be Sworn In, July 17 

DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) announces the unofficial and incomplete results of the July 15 Democratic Primary Runoff Election for Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) District 3 between Peter Hubbard and Keisha Sean Waites. Click here to view the local unofficial and incomplete results. Any accepted provisional ballots will also be factored into the final certified results.

“We are grateful to all DeKalb County voters who participated in this runoff election and exercised their right to vote,” said DeKalb VRE Executive Director Keisha Smith. “Our team worked diligently to ensure a secure and accessible election process, and we commend the poll workers and staff who helped facilitate a smooth election experience.”

DeKalb County Unofficial and Incomplete Results 

DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections (DeKalb BRE) will host a pre-certification meeting on Thursday, July 17, at noon at DeKalb VRE’s offices located at 4380 Memorial Drive in Decatur. Nominated DeKalb BRE members Vasu Abhiraman, Travis Bowden, Gail Lee, Dele Lowman and Karli Swift will be officially sworn in during the pre-certification meeting. 

The runoff election was held on July 15, after no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the original primary. 

The statewide winning candidate will appear on the November ballot to face the Republican nominee for the Georgia Public Service Commission Post 3 seat. Statewide elections results are posted here.
