Construction to install new water main pipes

Efforts to improve the watershed system throughout DeKalb County continue Monday, Oct. 6, with the launch of the Dunwoody Knoll Water Main Replacement Project. Crews will replace approximately 14,500 linear feet of ductile iron water pipe between Roberts Drive and Redfield Road.

This water improvement project is expected to last approximately 12 months (October 2025 to October 2026), barring any weather delays.

This project is part of DeKalb County’s $4.27 billion capital improvement program to improve capacity and service of the watershed systems serving the community.

Normal construction hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. An increase in construction-related noise and traffic during work hours should be expected
