Pet Litter Registry Rollout – January 1, 2026
The new litter registration ordinance will help track pet litters, promote spay/neuter, and connect owners with vaccines and microchips.
2025 Rabies Alerts (most recent)
On September 29, 2025, a raccoon exposed to a family pet in the Lincolndale Court area of Ellenwood was submitted for Rabies testing. Test results revealed the raccoon to be POSITIVE for Rabies.
On August 8, 2025, a stray cat involved in a bite incident near Sheppard Road in Stone Mountain was submitted for Rabies testing. Test results revealed the cat to be POSITIVE for Rabies.
On June 11, 2025, a stray cat involved in a bite incident near Cedar Ridge Trail in Stone Mountain was submitted for Rabies testing . Test results revealed the cat to be POSITIVE for Rabies.
On June 11, 2025, a stray cat involved in a bite incident near Maryland Drive in Doraville was submitted for Rabies testing. Test results revealed the cat to be POSITIVE for Rabies.
