  SAFE KIDS SAFETY PROGRAM

Services:
The Safe Kids program brings safety awareness and aims to reduce risky bike behavior. Our Bike Rodeo are skills clinics where participants learn basic riding, precautions and teaches children the skills to ride a bicycle safety. Through our Safe Kids program 6-12 years old will improve their bike safety knowledge.

Services:

The DeKalb County Youth Commission is a leadership program. This program caters to DeKalb County high school students in the 10th, 11th and 12th grade. The Youth Commission learns about DeKalb County Government and reinforce that learning through civic activities and develop a foundation to lead in the future.

  FIRE EXPLORERS PROGRAM

Services:

The DeKalb County Fire Rescue Explorer Program is a joint venture with the Office of Youth Services. It is designed for young adults 12-18 years of age who are interested in learning about a career in fire services. In addition to learning about the fire service, the Explorer Program’s main goal is to provide youth with a sense of responsibility to their neighborhood through ongoing community-related activities.

  RISE UP PROGRAM AT MOREHOUSE COLLEGE

 

A mentorship program for all male youth ages 11-18

Services:

DeKalb County’s R.I.S.E. UP Leadership Development Program is designed to serve middle school and high school students of color residing in DeKalb County. This culturally enriched leadership and literacy program aims to educate, empower, and equip these students to develop coping and resilient skills that will ultimately lead to overall success. The R.I.S.E. Up program consists of a curriculum component and a mentoring component to provide these students with a community of support and network to prepare them to be leaders.

Services:

The ESCAPE program is an Anti-Human Trafficking initiative partnered with the Agnes Scott College Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative, a student led organization on the campus of Agnes Scott College. The program host discussion panels to improve awareness of human trafficking within the Atlanta community and provide service to anti-human trafficking organizations based in Atlanta.
