The Communications Office is comprised of three integrated teams: |
|
Each team plays a distinct but collaborative role in how we shape and share the County’s message. Our Public Affairs team manages relationships with media outlets, drafts official statements and press releases, and leads our crisis communication efforts. They work closely with county leadership to ensure the public receives accurate, relevant information when it matters most. This team also responds to inquiries, supports executive visibility, and promotes DeKalb County’s ongoing initiatives in the public sphere. The Digital Media & Design team is responsible for the County’s digital presence. From managing day-to-day social media content to producing large-scale campaigns, newsletters, and email communications, this team ensures that every digital touchpoint reflects the County’s mission and identity. They also house the County’s graphic design function, which ensures brand consistency, accessibility, and strong visual storytelling across all departments and projects. DCTV (DeKalb County Television) provides government transparency and community engagement through original video content, event broadcasts, and public meeting coverage. The DCTV team documents and shares the stories of DeKalb—from major policy updates to community milestones—ensuring residents have access to relevant information in an engaging and visual format. |
