DeKalb County established an Office of Parks Bond and Greenspace to direct all County activities associated with greenspace acquisition and development.The Parks Bond Funds, approved by DeKalb citizens in 2001 and 2005, comprises the bulk of the total funding. In addition to spending this money most effectively, a primary responsibility of this office is to maximize the scope of this program by leveraging DeKalb's financial resources with additional public and private sector funding opportunities. The total sum of more than $247 million collected to date comes from the following sources:
