registered voters who plan on voting on Election Day to make a plan to vote.

On Election Day, voters must vote at their assigned precinct. Before heading to the polls, voters should verify their precinct information at www.DeKalbVotes.com. Wait times can be viewed here. It’s important to note that provisional ballots will not be available for voters who arrive at the incorrect precinct until the final hour of voting.

For voters who have a completed absentee ballot, it must be hand-delivered to the DeKalb VRE office, located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, in Decatur. Absentee ballots must be delivered by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.

Election results will be posted throughout the evening on Tuesday, May 21 at www.DeKalbVotes.com. Runoff information, if applicable, will be available on Wednesday, May 22.

“We’re anticipating a busy Election Day, and our staff is ready to serve,” said Keisha Smith, executive director of DeKalb VRE. “We encourage all voters to exercise their constitutional right and make a plan to vote.”
