Water Main Repairs Underway Along DeKalb Industrial Way

DECATUR, Ga.—DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) crews are making repairs to a 30-inch water main at DeKalb Industrial Way and East Ponce de Leon Road.

Crews have isolated a portion of a water main to repair a water main break which occurred earlier this month.

The repair is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 6, from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m.

Water customers will be serviced by several feeder lines while the main is isolated. However, during this time, residents and businesses may experience no or low water pressure or brown water from service lines.

Turning on the tap for a few minutes and flushing the lines should remedy color issues. Though unsightly, brown water is not a health hazard.
