Youth Basketball and Cheerleading Registration Open

DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs youth basketball and cheerleading program registration is open until Oct. 31.

County youth ages 5 to 18 are invited to sign up for instructional or division basketball. The instructional basketball league is designed for youth ages 5 to 6 years old. The registration fee for the instructional basketball league is $25 and includes one uniform.

There are five division basketball programs offered to youth ages 7 to 18 and players will be grouped by age. The registration fee for division basketball program is $65 and includes one uniform.

Cheerleading registration is $65 for ages 5 to 14 and will include one uniform. The basketball and cheerleading programs begin Dec. 8 . Practice dates and times for basketball and cheerleading programs will be determined by the recreation center.

Participants must present a birth certificate at registration and can register at any recreation center or by visiting www.dekalbcountyga.gov/parks and clicking the “Register Now” button. For more information, call the Parks Athletics Office at 770- 414-2111.
